Brevard Lost Pet header

There are many ways to help this effort.
  • Spread the word.
The more people in Brevard that know about the site and use it, the more likely a lost pet and owner will be reunited.

  • Sign up for the email distribution list.
You will get an email if a pet is posted as being lost or found in your town. Send your email address with the town(s) you would like to get notices about.

What to do:

Lost Pet Tips this link is a work in progress
See if your neighborhood is on nextdoor.com and post in there.
Register Lost Dog on PetHarbor and receive notification of when your dog's breed arrives at the shelter.
Register Lost Cat on PetHarbor and receive notification of when your cat's breed arrives at the shelter.

Check:

  • Newspaper Classifieds:
  • Online sites.
  • Local shelters in person for your lost pet. Two County shelters in Brevard County where Animal Control may bring your pet:
    • North County shelter in Titusville
    • South County shelter in Melbourne

Note: The geographical location of a shelter does not determine where a stray may be taken. Animal Control Services will bring strays to either one of the County shelters or may bring an injured animal to an animal hospital.

  • Also check with the Central Brevard Humane Society in Cocoa as they will accept strays from the public, if they have room.
  • Post Large Poster sized SIGNS (the most effective in reuniting lost pets)
  • Get the word out: See tips...
